Spilsby Online is the community-based website for Spilsby in Lincolnshire and are fully supported by BeachBlue. The site is designed to be socially interactive and combines elements of local news, events calendar, user-submitted content and much more that allows the site to be more than a simple series of static pages. It has been consistently updated with new features and options as the web has developed since it was launched.
The site is designed using PHP, AJAX and Javascript with a MySQL database that does all the work behind it, running on Linux servers to provide stability and power.
The website has proven popular with thousands of users every year since it started, using it as their resource and guide to Spilsby and the surrounding area.
Lincolnshire Guide – Former website
The Lincolnshire Guide was the a site for finding accommodation, things to do and places to eat and drink in Lincolnshire. It offered much more than the usual portfolio website, including car parking maps, local news and events.
The site was designed from ground up to allow users to search for the types of accommodation, attraction or food & drink establishment that suits their needs.
After running successfully for a number of years the owners sold on the business to another similar organisation who merged the website into their own.
